United Utilities

2 x 20kVA IP54 Positive Pressure Systems

United Utilities have had issues with 2 off 3 Phase UPS's used to ensure Actuator operation in event of flooding at the Birkenhead WWTW. We have custom designed and built 2 x Positive Pressure IP54 systems to exclude Hydrogen Sulphide Gas which can corrode the circuit boards and components of the UPS systems.

We supplied a replacement unit for a faulty system which has provided Harland Simon with the ability to become an approved supplier to the National Grid.

CEMA - Yorkshire Water

2 x IP54 Wall Enclosure UPS

Part of a contract to supply IP54 Wall Enclosures for Yorkshire Water sites.
Each Enclosure contains a UPS to support a 1kVA Load for 15 minutes.
Enclosures were supplied complete with External Bypass Switches and painted in Yorkshire Water Colours.

CEMA - Yorkshire Water

2 x IP54 Wall Enclosure UPS

This was a contract to Supply 2 x IP54 Wall Mount Enclosures for a Yorkshire Water site in Doncaster.
The systems consist of a 3kVA UPS to backup an 11A Load for 15 minutes.
A separate Battery Pack was incorporated into the system to provide the Autonomy.

Supply 80kW IP54 Converter for Single Phase Supply to Three Phase and support all critical equipment on site in Altnaharra for Scottish Water.

Supply 15kVA UPS which will be installed within the Customer's Panel for a Water Company application.

Galliford Try Costain Atkins Joint Venture was awarded a number of contracts by United Utilities as part of a £2.9 billion Asset Management Programme (AMP4) covering water and wastewater improvements throughout NW England.

Lintott - Scottish Water

12 x IP54 Rack Mounted UPS Systems

Harland Simon was awarded the contract to Supply approx. 12 x 19" Rack Mounted IP54 UPS Systems to support various loads totalling 1298VA for 12 hours plus Fast Charger and Distribution, etc.
The Systems were configured to be installed into Prefabricated Containers at various remote Scottish Water Sites.

Harland Simon supplied a 2kVA UPS System capable of supporting 12 hours, housed in an IP54 19" Rack Enclosure.

Tyco - Limehouse Tunnel

Harland Simon was awarded the contract to Supply, Deliver and Commission 1 x 15kVA, 1 x 10kVA and 2 x 3kVA AC UPS Systems each to support 4 hours complete with SNMP Communications.
Our Site Services included the Delivery and Positioning, Battery Build and Commissioning of each unit.

Harland Simon was awarded the contract to Supply, Deliver and Commission a 15kVA 3 Phase UPS System for use on a WWTW Site in Cumbria.

Galliford Costain /Atkins Joint Venture - Prenton WTW

10kVA AC UPS

Harland Simon was awarded the contract to Supply, Deliver and Commission a 10kVA Powerware PW9355 housed completely within our IP54 Enclosure.
The Design of this system also allowed for both a 400VAC and a 110VAC output, as specified by the client.

Tyco Integrated Systems - BNFL

6kVA AC UPS

Harland Simon supplied an IP31 19" Rackmounted UPS Solution for use on a BNFL site.
Our contract included not only our Custom Designed Rackmount IP31 Enclosure but also a Step Down Transformer to accommodate 110VAC output.
We also undertook Factory Witness Testing and on-site Commissioning.

CSE Servelec - Gt. Yarmouth Power Station

Harland Simon was awarded the contract to Supply, Deliver, Install and Commission a 3kVA N+1 System ensuring the entire system has no single point of failure.

Harland Simon was awarded the contract to Supply and Deliver a 5kVA UPS System capable of supporting 3 hours.
We achieved this above average Runtime by using our specially designed Extended Runtime Battery Packs which come ready assembled in an IP21 Enclosure.

Harland Simon was awarded the contract to Supply, Deliver and Commission a 30kVA UPS System to support 3 hours housed within our IP42 Enclosure complete with 10 year design Life Batteries.

AMEC-PURAC Joint Venture, a £28 million contract to provide new treatment facilities at Bromborough Wastewater Treatment Works.
As part of this contract Purac awarded Harland Simon UPS a sub-contract to design, supply and install various UPS.

ABNA Factory - Maindec

Harland Simon provided a 60kVA UPS and a 150kVA Generator to Protect the Main Server Room.
We also undertook Site Building, Mechanical and Electrical Works.

British Nuclear Power (BNFL)

Harland Simon were asked to Manufacture a DC UPS to provide Critical BackUp Power for an Evacuation Alarm at Sellafield for Tyco.
Chubb, a major manufacturer of Security Systems requested Harland Simon to supply a number of AC UPS to provide BackUp Power for the Crucial Security System at a Nuclear Power Station.
