These UPS are to be installed on Dutch and Belgium frigates to support critical equipment.

In 2007 Harland Simon supplied BAe Systems with a Rugged 11kVA Comet EX RT UPS which was then Field and Type Tested by BAe.
After this successful testing Harland Simon were awarded the order to Supply a further quantity of 29 Systems to fulfil the contract with Power Module deliveries up to 2011 and Battery deliveries up to 2014.

Harland Simon was awarded the contract to replace the 20 year old 50Hz to 60Hz Converters which support the US Navy 60Hz equipment at the UK HQ.
Harland Simon's contract also included the Full Site Management, Detailed Reporting, Project Management, Design, CAD Drawings, Mechanical, Electrical, Communications, Painting & Decoration, Air Handling Systems as well as Training and Commissioning.

Harland Simon modified the 1kVA PW9120 UPS by Interfacing with the Display Processor Unit to give Remote Shutdown and Startup Control via an External 24vDC Supply.
This was achieved by the use of a PIC.

Harland Simon was awarded the Repair and Service contract to maintain over 100 x 1.5kVA AC UPS. Our contract is based on a Fixed Evaluation Price and Repair/Upgrade Price Per System.
The units are reviewed yearly when the Ships dock for maintenance visits.

Designed and built 70 x 1kVA Naval Power Solutions from COTS Modules.
The UPS was purpose built in stainless steel for use in AISH Technologies Morpheus Console for the new Type 45 Destroyer class warship.
The HS UPS product was independently tested to various additional EMC and Environmental Levels to ensure it was fit for purpose.

Designed a fully custom built Military high specification DC Power Supply for an MOD ship radar.
The power supply is fed via a 600Hz input and has a QUAD +/-12/15V output with ultra low noise/ripple.
The DC Power supply was installed to power Type 42 radar systems.

Harland Simon Designed and Supplied a UPS to replace a Discontinued UPS.
This was a direct replacement for Form/Fit/Function.
The 1kVA UPS had the type and location of the Connectors specified, also the air flow within the rack dictated an Angled Main PCB and air flow from the sides across the components.
