About the Job
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager & BID Manager and working within a small focused sales team. The role will involve lots of customer interaction, listening to the customer, identifying a solutions and proposing this to the customer in a professional / detailed timely manner. Working to a BID PLAN, the role would require you to be able to work as part of the team & co-ordinate tasks set & ensuring deadlines set are met. You would be using your own initiative, carrying out activities to identify new projects/companies/product opportunities.
Talking/Working closely with suppliers, gaining product knowledge, trends & building relationships is a further critical function.
This role will suit someone who has a technical sales background, has a competent telephone manner and likes talking to customers, as this is a major part of the role. A positive and outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills. You would require good computer skills to be able to update databases, produce good quality technical quotes and spreadsheets. It is not essential but it could be advantageous if you have engineering qualifications, ONC-NVQ-A level-degree etc in mechanical or electrical engineering, but a good English and Maths qualification would be needed as a minimum to help with the technical aspect of the position, sizing of UPS and Batteries. Training will be provided throughout for all aspects of the position.
